 Four Arrested in Addison Following MDEA Drug Trafficking Investigation

ADDISON, MAINE — Four individuals have been arrested in Washington County following a months-long investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA). The arrests took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, after search warrants were executed at two properties in the town of Addison.


With the assistance of the Maine State Police Tactical Team, agents carried out simultaneous raids at 380 East Side Road and 362 Indian River Road. The searches were the result of an extensive investigation involving undercover purchases of fentanyl and crack cocaine.


The following individuals were arrested:


  • Denise Batson, 49, of Addison – Charged with Class B Unlawful Trafficking of Fentanyl and Cocaine Base. Bail was set at $2,500 cash.
  • Ronald Robinson, 70, of Addison – Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking of Fentanyl. The charge was elevated due to a prior drug trafficking conviction. Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
  • Daniel Nash, 30 – Charged with Class B Unlawful Trafficking of Fentanyl. Bail was set at $5,000 cash.
  • Shawn Davis, 29, of Bronx, NY – Charged with Class B Unlawful Trafficking of Fentanyl and Cocaine Base. Bail was set at $100,000 cash.



Evidence of drug trafficking was recovered from both search locations. Davis was later located at an apartment in Bangor and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Washington County Jail.


According to the MDEA, additional arrests are expected in connection with the ongoing investigation.


This operation was conducted by the MDEA's Down East Task Force with support from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Department of Homeland Security (HSI), Bureau of Indian Affairs, Washington County Sheriff's Office, Maine State Police, and Bangor Police Department.


All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
