Maine State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Cornish.

At approximately 1:42 p.m. on May 5, 2025, Troopers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at 1277 Sokokis Trail North. The preliminary investigation indicates that 51-year-old Dawn Webber of Limerick was driving a Ford Fusion northbound when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Ford F-350 commercial vehicle towing a trailer with two pickup trucks.

The roadway was closed for approximately six hours while members of the Maine State Police Traffic Safety Unit conducted a reconstruction. The Commercial Vehicle Unit also responded, along with local fire and EMS agencies.
