NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — Despite its prime location near the outlets and White Mountains, the North Conway Grand Hotel shows noticeable signs of declining upkeep, with multiple concerns observed during a recent stay.
Throughout the property, maintenance and cleanliness issues were apparent. The heating system did not function properly, circulating only cold air. In-room amenities were inconsistent, with equipment such as hot tubs showing signs of disrepair and lack of proper cleaning.
Safety concerns were also noted. Lighting fixtures in guest areas appeared damaged, including one with visible exposed wiring—posing a potential hazard that should have been addressed before use.
Public spaces throughout the hotel reflected a general lack of care. The indoor pool appeared cloudy and poorly maintained. Public restrooms seemed to be infrequently cleaned, and the overall condition of shared facilities reflected significant wear and tear.
While the hotel benefits from a desirable location, the condition of the property and lapses in basic maintenance significantly detracted from the overall guest experience.
