By New England Pulse Media

Pembroke, NH – May 9, 2025 – The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office has announced an ongoing investigation into the suspicious deaths of an adult female and a minor child in Pembroke early Friday morning.

According to Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Pembroke Police Chief Gary R. Gaskell, the incident was reported around 1:00 a.m. when Pembroke police officers responded to a 911 call at a single-family home.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the reporting party and found the adult female and minor child with apparent gunshot wounds. The child was transported to Concord Hospital but was later pronounced deceased. The woman was declared deceased at the scene.

Officials stated that while the investigation is in its early stages, there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. Authorities are currently treating the incident as a possible murder-suicide involving residents of the home.

Autopsies for both individuals are scheduled for later today. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
